Chia Seeds are native to South America and were introduced to the old world by Europeans. Although it doesn’t have any particular name in Hindi, Chia Seeds are mistakenly referred to as Sabza (Basil Seeds). Chia Seeds are very similar to Sabza in appearance, which causes confusion. But the two seeds have different properties and behave differently.
